As Vermont's former Lt. Governor for 6 years and a former Vermont Legislator with a combined 18 years of experience in the Vermont House and Senate, David has delved deeply into the issues facing Vermonters. These range from the property tax crisis and education funding to issues facing Vermont farmers, from wages and the high cost of healthcare to the crisis of affordable housing.

David will bring guests, with expertise in these subject areas and more, to examine these issues in more depth than is commonly available in the daily media. By inviting everyday Vermonters to call-in to discuss their most pressing issues, we hope to have an impact on the discussions in the statehouse and to be a factor in promoting increased citizen participation in our democracy and governance.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of these conversations in Vermont’s “marketplace of ideas”, David will need your help. Publicizing and preparing truly outstanding conversations, and expanding the show’s reach on social media and in Vermont’s communities, will require some financial resources. David also plans to travel the state to talk about these issues and to explore more ways to expand the show’s programming to get more everyday Vermonters involved in these conversations.

If you are able and willing to help, the initial goal for launching program development and publicity as well as a series of town meetings around the state, hosted by David, is $40,000.
